God’s Side of the Story
By Connie Jones
There are two sides to every story. The first one to speak sounds true until you hear the other side, and they set the record straight. (Proverbs 18:17 TPT)
There is always another side to the story, a slightly different vantage point, and a different opinion on how it all went down.
We are all in the middle of a story, and how it all goes down depends on whose version of the story we accept as truth.
Any area of life where there is pain and discouragement, any place void of God’s manifest goodness, is a direct invitation from the Father to let Him tell His side of the story. God longs to speak on His behalf.
The Power of His Story
Many voices compete to write the conclusion to the story of our family, our children, our ministries, and our health, but there is another voice: Him! His voice shouts victory over the doctor’s report, the wayward child, the seemingly failing ministry, marriage, or business. His voice alone carries the grace and power to bring His promises to fruition.
Jesus is our champion forever; when we know and accept His side of the story, it is the end of our struggle. He will write His very own victory into ours. His redemption will wash over every sin, sickness, fear, and failure and leave us looking more like Him!
When we know and accept what He has said about us, what He has promised He’d do for us, His story becomes our story, our triumph, and our victory is imminent.
God is releasing His story over you. He is bringing you into an abundance of grace to receive His unfailing promises anew:
Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
(Phil 1:6)
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
(2 Cor 2:14)
Fear not, for I am with you: be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
(Is 41:10)
